Experience in sustainability and energy, as well as strategy and business development. He has been the Global Vice President of Sustainability of Walmart US and Walmart International and Sustainability Director of Walmart México and Central America. It helped make Walmex the first mexican company to be part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Emerging Markets and the Sustainability Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange. Implemented actions to generate savings of more than 500 million pesos annually. In addition, he has been a consultant at McKinsey & Company. ITAM economist with a Yale MBA.

Alejandro Cabrera Bárcena

Sr. Analyst at 360 Energy Solutions de México, Mechanical Engineer by Universidad Panamericana. He has knowledge regarding the technical and economic analysis of proposals in Self-Supply, On-Site Generation and Wholesale Electricity Market, as well as in the follow-up of plans and regulations necessary to comply with the electricity supply.

He has supported the implementation of programs focused on reducing electricity bill costs through the development of bidding bases (RFPs), analysis of proposals, calculation of energy to be contracted and potential savings for current customers.

Alejandro has taken Wholesale Electricity Market Courses given by CENACE, which allows him to evaluate the proposals of the different Qualified Service Suppliers in order to make the associated costs transparent and provide visibility to customers of the risks derived from each one of them.

Expert in sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy. Under the Montreal Protocol, the Grupo Cifra/Walmart refrigeration systems were replaced with World Bank funds. He obtained more than 100 Walmex self-generation permits from SENER. Analyzed and implemented new energy efficiency technologies. Negotiated more than 10 renewable energy contracts. In 2009 he carried out the largest photovoltaic solar project in Latin America in Aguascalientes. Mechanical Electrical Engineer of Ibero University.
