Founding Partner and CEO of 360 Energy Solutions

Extensive experience in sustainability and energy, as well as in business strategy and development. He served as Global Vice President of Sustainability, where he defined and implemented strategies for Walmart U.S. and Walmart International. He was also Director of Sustainability and Energy foe Walmart Mexico and Central America (Walmex).

He implemented clean energy and energy efficiency programs for Walmex, positioning it as the first Mexican company to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Emerging Markets, and as a leader in environmental programs within the Sustainability Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange.

He led initiatives that generated annual savings of over 500 million pesos and achieved 70% clean energy supply. He has advised leading companies on cost and emissions reduction through on-site generation projects and migration to the Wholesale Electricity Market.

He has been a Consultant at McKinsey & Company and Vice President of Strategy at Walmex. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from ITAM and an MBA from Yale University.

Founding Partner and Operations Director of 360 Energy Solucitons

Founding Partner and Chief Operating Officer of 360 Energy Solutions. Expert in Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy. Under the Montreal Protocol, since 1998 he led the replacement of refrigeration systems for Grupo Cifra/Walmart using World Bank funds, eliminating CFC refrigerants that were damaging the ozone layer. He managed and secured more than 100 self-generation permits from SENER. He negotiated the La Mata–La Ventosa wind farm project with EDF Energy Nouvelles and EVM, which became the first retail Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Mexico. He also led the execution of 10 renewable energy contracts totaling over 570 MW, positioning Walmart de México at the time as the subsidiary with the highest amount of renewable energy worldwide.

In 2009, he developed the largest solar photovoltaic project in Latin America in Aguascalientes, certified by ANES. He received two National Energy Savings and Energy Efficiency Awards, led the first voluntary greenhouse gas emissions report submitted to SEMARNAT, and obtained the first Clean Industry certifications granted by PROFEPA.

In collaboration with CFE, BMW, and the Schneider Group, he implemented the first electric vehicle charging stations in Mexico.

Juan Andrés holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.

He has supported the implementation of programs focused on reducing electricity bill costs through the development of bidding bases (RFPs), analysis of proposals, calculation of energy to be contracted and potential savings for current customers.

lejandro has taken Wholesale Electricity Market Courses given by CENACE, which allows him to evaluate the proposals of the different Qualified Service Suppliers in order to make the associated costs transparent and provide visibility to customers of the risks derived from each one of them.
